Owner Tarik Daoud has led the dealership for 39 years after acquiring the store in 1972 from his father-in-law, Al Long. His son John is now president and CEO.

year association with the dealership. Enjoying a 50 percent repeat and a 45 percent referral customer base, Al Long Ford also attracts new customers by
marketing strongly to the surrounding neighborhoods. It seems only natural to reach out to Ford customers in search of a place to shop for new and use vehicles - and have them services - at another branch of Ford's extended family.
"When a dealership goes out of business, customers probably feel really lost and not sure about where to go. They don't know where to turn," Marr said.
The store's slogan - "Your Ford Dealer Forever" - lends an assuring message to customers that their automotive-related needs can be taken care of.
"We plan on being here forever," Marr said. "We won't be closing the doors and leaving."
